Biography

Itamar Kerner is an artist and photographer, born 1993. Currently living in Berlin, Germany.

Itamar focuses his most important works on topics involving environmental, civil, human and non-human rights, as he seeks to illustrate complex and visually intriguing images and stories which will attract the viewer and capture their attention.

From abstract art to reportage, Itamar pursues to be innovative and critical of the topic at hand, whether it is conceptual or objective, while keeping a high standard for integrity and objectivity.

In his latest project, "A Part to Hide", which started as a bachelors degree final project and now has a long-term goal, Itamar looks to criticize the relative silence of mainstream media when it comes to covering significant political events, in regards to personal stories of those who are affected by it.

Itamar believes that journalism and photography are still capable of making change for good, and divert the public's attention to sensitive matters.

When not focusing on political issues and topics, Itamar takes a grab at the conceptual side photography has to offer and studies his daily-life surroundings.
